Homework & learning updates
As mandated by the school board, students are able to pull one report card grade up from a failing grade in each class if they dedicate themselves to completing the following assignment and show exemplary work. Simply doing it is not enough. It must be done extremely well. Students may visit this website and select five questions from EACH chapter of Tom Sawyer to answer in complete sentences (assertion format). Of these questions, students should select five to answer in AEC format. (If a chapter has less than five assigned questions, students will need to do the leftover questions from another chapter - for example, if chapter two only has four questions, students will need to do six questions on the next chapter). This assignment is due no later than 05/22/15. Late work will not be accepted. Sloppy work will not be accepted. PARCC testing is over and we have returned to a regular homework schedule!
Monday - Students will create a story arc/plot structure for their literary hero narratives. Tuesday - Students will begin to draft their narratives in class and finish writing the exposition and rising action. Wednesday - Students will finish the final drafts of their narratives. Thursday - Students will let parents/guardians know that they will need a posterboard by next Monday. Friday - Students will finish the rough drafts of their expository essays. |
